All of us at WLL are looking forward to a great season this spring and I am excited to start your girls off on what I hope are long careers in the sport. A little bit about myself, I grew up in New Jersey and started playing lacrosse in 7th grade. I attended Gettysburg College (PA) where I was a 4 year starter. After college I moved to the DC area and briefly reffed for NVYLL High School games. I have taken a break from the sport until last year when I coached the K/2 team for the first time. I have 3 daughters who are all in the league, 2 of which who will be on this team. My goal for the K/2 team is to teach them the basics of the game and to HAVE FUN! We will spend most of our time on sticks skills, throwing, catching and ground balls as these are the foundation of any successful lacrosse player.
We will kick off our preseason practices on Sundays from 1:00 – 2:00 at Loudoun Valley High School and then our practices will be at Bolen Park once the grass fields open up. Stay tuned for days & times.
